What is this thing called?

Hey, so I'm shopping for a gift for my English teacher. It's a class gift and we're looking to get her that handheld device where you download books onto it. I've seen it at Borders but I can't find it and I have no idea what it's called. Basically, it's like a palm pilot that it's only use is to read books on.
