I just got a pair of board shorts today for a gift. Inside one of the pockets is this plastic thing the size of a business card. It has sharp teeth and in the middle is a metal hole that looks like a pop can opening. What the devil is this thing?

  1. Its a board waxer

  2. The other two answers were correct.

They put that with the shorts so they can charge $30 more for the shorts made somewhere in Asia.

  3. It is not a surfboard waxer, it's a wax comb.  After the wax get's slick on your board you use the teeth to rough up the wax to give it more traction.  The other side of the comb may have a straight sharp edge...this is for scraping old wax off the board, (melt first in hot sun or blow dryer)

Sometimes there'e a concealed FCS allen key that removes FCS brand fins.  Also there's a bottle opener.

  4. LMAO dis is the funniest question ever!!!! Read wat u jus sed...

Yea its a comb tho.. use it in criss cross diagonal lines over the top layer of wax on ur board! It beats havin 2 use more layers of wax each time u hit the waves.
