What is this type of boating called?

This type of boat is long that seats a lot of people. And there paddle are long ones too.

THey use these to compete in races. Usually there are 4 boats in each race.

I really need to know what this boat is called and what kind of racing it is. please help

  1. Depends whether the crew have one oar, two oars or a paddle.  If they have two oars each and are facing backwards (i,e, with their backs towards the bow of the boat), then it's sculling; the boat is a scull.  If the crew are facing backwards with one oar each, then it's rowing; the boat is a rowing shell.  If the crew are facing in the direction of travel, with a paddle each, then it's probably a dragon boat.


  2. Boats in that class are typically called either "dragon boats" or "war boats".

  3. i think its sculls, and also called crewing is the sport
