Could be called General Practitioner or Family Doctor. May be called Doctor specializing in family medicine.

That's a general practitioner, or GP for short. You won't find many in the US any more, as the role has been supplanted by the more highly trained and specialized family physicians. general internists, general pediatricians, and med/peds combination specialists.
