What is this type of game called? (See description)?

Question

What is the type of game called when you can make it up, and its like an interactible story, and when you click a different link it goes to a different page?

Eg.

Page 1: Would you like to answer? Yes (Page 2) No (Page 3)

Page 2: You decided not to answer and didn't get the 10 points you deserve. Would you like to backtrack (Page 1) or continue on your quest(Page 4, not in Eg.)?

Page 3: You answered the question and won 10 points! You continue on your quest and blah blah blah...
