What is this type of image called?

I have seen some .gif images that apparently have 60fps and they have only 2 images.

For example, a lion and a human face. and it appears like if the lion transforms into human and the human into a lion.

or

a kid and an adult faces. where the kid transforms to an adult or the adult into a kid.

I'd like to know the name of those kind of images to get some tutorials for Photoshop. I'd like to do some of them.

Thank you.

  1. It's called 'morphing'. You need to have the proper software to do it. Photoshop is not the best for this.

  2. (Animated Gif producer ) is one of these programmes  easy to use and you dont need photoshop to make it

there is free trial in    www.softpedia.com

but if interested go to filesharing sites such as

rapidshare   you can download it and no need for any one to teach you

  3. lapse images..?

  4. Those are morphs. The best software to do that, I've found (and it's free!) is WinMorph, from debugmode:

    http://www.debugmode.com/winmorph/

  5. That process is called morphing. You can read more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morphing. You can download a program to do morphing here: http://xmorph.sourceforge.net/
