I ware contacts...

But after wareing them for a while they seem to get some sort of Scuff or Build up.

It's really weird because it makes a Circle around where my Pupil is.

I wish I could explain it better...other than it looks like a fog on a whindshield or something.

I useually just pop in a New contact and throw that one away...But I'm starting to wonder just whats going on here?

  1. It's a disposable soft lens problem, protein deposits & bacteria that feeds on them & when they die, changes to an oily deposit... I guess, even without contacts our eyes are exposed to these bacteria, but it could also be due to the moisture retaining properties of the lens wearing out & causing it to dry up. Did you also notice how water don't stick too well to those spots or how fast it gets dry... just what I've figured, 'cos I took them out to clean. In the old days, soft lens would harden, shrink & turned yellow after long usage, now that we have disposable soft lens it's much cheaper & better than before, so don't sweat too much over it, if you feel uncomfortable... just throw it out & use a new one.

  2. That is Muco-protein deposit from your eyes. You seem to be tiring your eyes too much, could be your work that needs more concentration from the eyes.

You can try washing your eye with normal temperature water before wearing your lens and after removal. keep clearing the eyes.

Finally You can check with A Doctor.

  3. It sounds like protein deposits.   Give your eye doctor a call to discuss it.
