  1. I have no idea but I wonder the same things sometimes Im going to keep up with your question because i would love to know

  2. Mind is an imposter which is an offspring of self-forgetfulness and imagines itself as self consciousness

and identifies with the body causing self-delusion.

It makes us to feel as a set of adjuncts.

It facilitates the act of directing our attention towards something

that appears other than ourself and this is called thinking.

Thoughts and images arises in our mind and are formed by action

of thinking or imagining them,an action that can occur only when

allow our attention to move seemingly away from ourselves.

Mind makes us feel real as unreal and unreal as real.

It is the infinite creator of unreal finite things

and thought is the tool for intiating it's action.

Thoughts occur to the entity which is interested in the events of

    the objective world.

  3. I will not pretend to know this answer in it's entirety but I can share my experiences that have come from observing my thoughts & the mind.

It seems that what we call thoughts have 2 sources, one is of the ego & the other is Inspired. In the beginning I did not even know that the thoughts that ran thru my mind were the ego, it was all I had ever known. It's greatest tool, how could I refuse to listen to something I honestly believed to be me! But as I learned to quiet this voice, these thoughts, I found another voice, other thoughts so to speak that I realized had always been there but covered by the constant monologue of the other.

Mind is part of our equipment here, anything more than that I honestly can not say. But, I do know that we do have a choice, with recognition & practice, of whether we allow our minds to run wild or claim it for our own use.

Again, this has been my experience, thank you for allowing me to share it.

    Blessings!

  4. To understand mind start with the brain. Sensations travel inward over the neural paths; some are detained and responded to by the lower automatic spinal centers; others pass on to the less automatic but habit-trained centers of the lower brain, while the most important and vital incoming messages flash by these subordinate centers and are immediately registered in the highest levels of human consciousness.

The physiologic equipment and the anatomic structure of life are in response to the action of physical law, but the subsequent endowment of mind is a bestowal of the adjutant mind-spirits in accordance with innate brain capacity. Mind, while not a physical evolution, is wholly dependent on the brain capacity afforded by purely physical and evolutionary developments.

But it is  known that there dwells within the human mind a fragment of God, and that there sojourns with the human soul the Spirit of Truth; and it is further known that these spirit forces conspire to enable material man to grasp the reality of spiritual values and to comprehend the philosophy of universe meanings. But even more certainly it is known that these spirits of the Divine Presence are able to assist man in the spiritual appropriation of all truth contributory to the enhancement of the ever-progressing reality of personal religious experience--God-consciousness.

We call this our personal experience with God in consciousness.

  7. We are all the mind of God. We have the agency to let go of thoughts that belong to the ego and return to our true state.

"Bombarding" is an emotional reaction that can be transformed by meditation.

Man's science has come up with the idea that thoughts arise from a sensory organ that allows us to communicate with the physical world, the brain. Coming up with an idea doesn't make it correct.

  8. The mind: The mind is a part of your brain that, well, thinks thoughts.

A Thought: A thought is something your mind comes up with. For example: If you see a new book that looks interesting at the library, your mind transforms that feeling into words. Then your mind transforms those words, into a thought.

My thoughts: That is a difficult question. My thoughts well, my thoughts right now are trying to come up with thoughts to tell you!

  9. Thoughts are the content of the mind, mind is filled with objects represented by its images and thoughts.Mind is a tool that 'produce' thoughts. The tool/mind uses usually sensory experiences of the world out there to weave thoughts. Mind integrates experiences, store them in the form of memory as thought again and retrieves them whenever functionally required. However, as the capacity of the mind is very limited, it is not able to comprehend the reality in its totality. Hence, the world it builds out of thoughts is  either partial or fictitious. Further, heavy reliance on mind on  thoughts would deprive experience of the inner being which are mostly beyond thoughts. We will be living in a truncated world if it is based on mind/thoughts only.
