If the one invitation says Black tie, then you need to wear a long gown for that.

Okay, what is perfect for both weddings is a nice knee length dress in a bright, bold color.  Think jewel tones.  All you will need to do is change your shoes and jewelry and retouch your makeup.  Wear a shrug or cardigan for the wedding in the church, and take it off for the evening.  It is perfectly alright to wear a dress in the color scheme, but you're right, don't match the shade.  If the afternoon wedding is tiffany blue, don't show up in a tiffany blue dress...you might look like you're trying to be in the wedding.

For both wear a cardigan or shrug in the afternoon with ballet flats and pearls.

For the evening, dress either up with strappy heels (black or silver) and wear "diamond" jewelry.

During the day, keep makeup (eyes and lips) fairly light and natural.  Darken it for the evening with smoky eyes and dramatic lips.

You can go to Banana Republic or Macy's for nice dresses. Get a silk dress with multi colors. A dress you would wear to a bridal shower or maybe to church.

Maybe just change your shoes and wear a jacket?

I don't have any pics but....but it really depends on the time of the wedding, and where the wedding is being held? During the day is alittle bit more casual and at night is alittle bit more dressy. Outside? casual sun dress. church? a nice dress that you may to church. Is is going to be a black tie wedding? It really just depends.
