What is too much make up for a thirteen year-old?

My friends and I are just starting to wear makeup, and this is what I plan on buying: concealer, compact powder, light blush, mascara, and lip gloss. Is this too much? It looks very natural, and I think it is appropriate. What are your thoughts?

  1. i dont think thats to much. you are going for a natural look and that seams ok.

you really dont need compact powder or blush because your are still young and you can be fine without it, but since you have oily skin i would just use a bit of powder to hide the shine like you said but thats it.

  2. Everything you said sounds fine. I also have dark brown hair and oily skin, and I use all the same things you do (plus more... granted, I'm 17).

Concealer is great for covering up blemishes, and I think there are some that can even fight acne (you'll have to read the label for that one).

For oily skin, wash your face really well in the morning and then put on the powder. You might have to reapply powder at lunchtime or something (that depends on the humidity). Just make sure you don't apply too much powder, otherwise it becomes obvious you're wearing it. The T-Zone should get the most, but the cheeks really don't need much.

Since you said you're using a light blush, it should look natural. The major problem with powder is that is drowns out the natural redness in your cheeks, so a small amount of blush would definitely fix that. A trick that I use to make the blush look natural is I smile when I put it on. Just put it on the areas that look pinkish when you smile, and it'll look real.

For mascara, well there's not much to be said about that. You have dark hair, so mascara will look fine. When it comes to lip gloss, everyone I knew at that age wore it. The only problem is that it wears off really easily, so be prepared to reapply it.

    Hope that helps!

  3. when i started wearing make-up, i got:

    -concealer wand

-moisturizer (maybe tinted, if you want)

-mascara (lash curler if you want)

compact/powder are good to have for the mirror, and also if you need to do a quick touch-up. i never wear blush, though. maybe try bronzer instead?

  4. that is to much i think you should get eyeliner mascara and cover up and  some eye shadow.

  5. it really depends on how much you wear i use (for school ) mascara and lip gloss and sometimes concealer but i think you should take a little of your list

  6. that isn't too much.

    no worries.

    but instead of blush,

    try a brownser.

a brownser will make your skin appear lit-up.

    and along with the powder,

try a liquid make-up such as MAC.

the make-up lasts untill you wash it off,

and the color in the bottle is actually the color you get when you apply it.

it doesn't cake up &it still allows your skin to look natural.

just make sure it matches your skin tone, hun.

you wouldn't want it to look like you have a mask on or anything.

  7. okay im fifteen. there are girls i know who war:

    bronzer foundation

    blush eyeshadow

    eyeliner

    mascara

    concealer

and they look like clowns trying to be "older"

for me a thierteen year old should wear:

    eyeliner (on the bottom only)

    light eyeshadow

    tinted lipgloss

and if needed a tad of blush.

you dont really need compact powder or any powders at all! seriously. you'll be know as cake face. i encourage you not to buy any of those things.

    good luck

  8. No I think that's just enough.

  9. Im 13 and i dont wear face make up but quite alot of eye makeup, it depends on when you wear it for school i wear a little mascara but going out mascara, eyliner, blusher and liquid eyeliner. As long as it isnt to in your face i dont think it really matters.

  10. Heey =]

I don't think you need concealer. I don't even use concealer yet, and I'm almost 19 xD

Blush would be cute. Mascara would be cute, too. Lipgloss, and maybe some eyeliner, if not eyeshadow =] Yea, it's a very natural look =D

  11. Yes thats very appriote. You sound like a very decent & intelligent bunch of girls well done :D

    Have fun! & Take care,

    xxxx

  12. Thats perfect. I am almosts 13 and that is what i wear, except no mascara and some light gold eyeshadow sometimes. Mascara looks really bad on me, because I have blond hair, so it just looks artificial. If you have blond hair I would use brown or clear mascara, or vaseline (sp??). I know that sounds wierd, but i found that vaseline works better than clear because it curls your eyelashes more. Hope I helped!

  13. Don't go to much on the EYES,you don't need blush, get concealer, lip gloss and mascara and that's all you really need.

  14. i dont think u should use blush or the compact powder. naked skin on teenagers is beautiful. and if u have any pimples just use the concealer. also u might wanna try some eyeshadow. it'll look really pretty if u mix 2 colors together. for example i mix a hot pink and an orange on my lid and a white on the arch of my eyebrows

  15. Just use some concealer mascara and lip gloss use the blush on days that you're really pale

  16. hey well when im only 13 and I only wear mascara and eyeliner. In my opinion i think conpact, blush, and concealer is to much. but if thats what you want i guess i cant change that.
