Trifecta Box
The Trifecta Box, as you probably guessed is picking the top three horses regardless of order. Similar to the Exacta Box, the Trifecta Box is actually six bets in one, whereas the Exacta Box is two bets in one. Because there are 6 possible outcomes for your three horses to appear in the money. Say you choose horses 3, 7, and 4 to appear in first, second, or third place, there are six combinations. So if you place a $2 Trifecta Box bet, in essence the total amount of action will be $12.
