What is trimosul?

i know its some kinda medicine...what i wanna know is, what does it do, and what is it for....on a side note, the name might not be in english....

Trimosul (sulfametoxasol,trimetoprim) is in a for of tablet or syrup. Used for treating inflammations of upper and lower respiratory tracts, middle ear, urinary infections  and infections of ghonococcus. It is usually given to people with swallowing problems.
