your tsh level is the level of hormone your brain is telling your thyroid to produce, mine is underactive so my tsh levels are high because my brain is telling my thyroid to produce more hormone than normal, there are some differences among endocrinologists as to what normal is but most say from 3.0 to 5.0, different things can effect your tsh tests but they arent too bad right now if you are not feeling majorly symptomatic they would most likely do another test in 3 months, symptoms of underactive thyroid, weight gain or inability to lose weight, hair loss or courseness, dry itch skin and flaky patches, cold spells(severe) extreme fatigue, these symptoms will get worse if your thyroid productivity keeps slowing, treatment is a pill a day, basically hormone replacement, it takes a while to get the dose right sometimes but you will feel tons better once you do
