What is up with hamsters behind?

Question

Ok, we had a hamster given to us yesterday that's a few months old. I know absolutely nothing about these little critters..so here is the thing... ummmm what the heck is up with it's butt area? Like it looks like his butt flaps kind of up and outward, It's under its tail but very odd looking behind if you ask me. Is this normal?

It's probably a male, that's where their umm "things" are.

tehehe. thats part of the "male anatomy" lol. its fine. both my male syrians have that and every male hamster ive seen so hopefuly its normal  : )

depends on the hamster ive only seen it visibly in chinese hamsters but other hamsters also have  but dont rely on me ask the pet store or a vet

Most likely, it is a male. They tend to have a forward appearance like that :/

Its a guy and those are his testicles so don't be afraid and yes it is normal I have one myself a orange with with the same thing.

Hamster testicles look very strange. Maybe this is what you are seeing? As weird/creepy as this may sound, you should image search 'hamster testicles' to see if it is what you are seeing. You want to make sure the little guy is healthy.
