And I lived in chennai for 4 years during my engineering and the best food I've ever had there was in a restuarant called

"Kabab Factory " which is in Hotel Radisson on Airport Road

You must really give it a try. The Kababs were really mouth watering...So were the desserts...Mmmmmnnnnn....

If you are looking for some authentic North Indian food then Tandoor near Sterling signal is one of the best places to be. Then next comes Copper Chimney in Cathedral Road.

And in the same complex there is Mainland China where the chinese is really good.

Also there is a chain of Punjabi restaurants called Dhabba Express. The food is good there too.
