"A person's worth in American society is measured more by material success than by individual character"...so u agree or disagree? can u explain y thx :)

  1. It's really a matter of opinion.  Some people judge others based on material wealth and power; others put a lot more stock in character.  In a perfect world, we'd measure everyone by the content of their character, but the world isn't perfect.


  2. i agree. we are a materialistic society...we often judge people on there success in life, and if they are dressed nice, drive a nice car those kinds of things...instead of getting to know the person for who they are.

  4. I believe this quote is true. Your worth to others in society that do not know you for who you are judge you based on appearance and objects. Obviously you cannot know everybody, hence those who famously have everything are more visible publicly than those who are known by many of their acquaintances as "cool".

  5. i agree  Americana's are so materialistic  it is sad that a man is not measured by his or her character  i think in other societies they look at the indiviual more to judge him rather then what he owns
