  1. scaler quantity does not depend on direction as in the case of distance .

    vector quantity depends on direction aa in displacement. are u studying physics???

  3. to know what a vector quantity is you have to know what a scalar is too.

    A scalar quantity is that quantity which has only magnitude. for eg time and mass

    A vector quantity is that which has both direction and magnitude for eg distance and weight.

    the reason why weight is vector and mass is scalar is because mass is just the measure of the object. weight has also direction, ie the gravitational force acting downwards on the object.

    i dnt knw where scalars and vectors is on this site but its very helpful for science, hope it helps
