It's like a virus.  It is something that spreads quickly.  Alot of viral campaigns are 30-sec film clips which are humorous, entertaining, and catchy.  They are rarely educational or boring.  It is something you want to pass on to your friends due to the humor, (not because it is representing a certain brand).  Companies like this, because it gets their company name in front of people whether they were actually interested in their company or not.
