  1. Definitely the discovery of Lucy was the most important discovery in Anthropology.

    In my opinion, other important works include:

    Jane Goodall's work with chimpanzees because it shows us how similar their culture is with humans, and same goes with Dian Fossey's work with gorillas

    Discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls

    Discovery of Great Zimbabwe

    Discovery of Terra Cotta army in China

  3. i would say lucy, she bridged a link in human evolution. with her bipedalism and what not really shed light on human evolution and our ancestors
