I have a slight (alright, huge) preoccupation with my unborn baby...we're almost 28 weeks! I was just wondering if you could share the songs that best soothed your little angels? Thanks! (Stories always welcome!)

  1. when I was pregnant my brother who is obsessed with music and i would put my ipod earphones on my bellie and would play different music and see how the babie would respond...when ever there was quiet music othing would happen and when we put music like metallica on the baby would go crazy!!!  so when he was born we would put metallica on when he was awake and his little legs would go crazy and when we put jack johnson on he would get relaxed...I am not too into lullabys but any slower music or acoustic music usually does the trick and in the day when we are playing around in the day we have lots of different stuff on like metallica and justin timberlake and his favourite is wolfmother!!  he loves music so much and is so happy with all sorts of tunes...make sure you let your baby listen to a wide variety of music...they love it, and put headphones on your tummy now with music you like...if baby is going crazy, put music on that relaxes you..it will help sooth baby as well!!  have fun and enjoy your new bubba!!  take care

  2. my son is 2 1/2. Before he was born I started singing Baby Mine (Lullaby from Dumbo) by Allison Krause to him. I sing it to him every night. Now that he's old enough to watch the movie Dumbo he recognizes the song. He calls it the "Baby elephant song" It's so cute. He's starting to learn the words and sing it with me too!

  4. My son was a demon inside me, beating me up all the time!! The thing that calmed him down was my voice or his daddys! However I used to put headphones up to my belly and itd either calm him down or make him go more wild lol good luck!

  9. I have several CDs in the "Rockabye Baby" collection that my kids absolutely love, and fall asleep to on a nightly basis (even my 6 year old).  Their favorite of these CDs is the classical "lullabye/music-box" sounds that are themed to TOOL  I personally love all of them, because my husband and I were able to not only get to enjoy our favorite music, but soothe our kids to sleep..and get them "into" the music we listen to on a daily basis.  Its neat.  You should check them out.
