Your least favorite?

I liked trying on dresses...

Figuring out the guest list was my least favorite, and the seating chart is yet to come (sigh).

  1. Smile 2 B,, Its your Happyday

  2. least favorite, guest list and seating chart (have fun), i also had a hard time finding a minister that made everyone happy but did end up with the perfect guy to marry us

favorite, planning the decorations, making things with my family, watching it all come together, i actually really enjoyed planning our wedding.

  3. My favorite part has been planning all the little details that show our personalities. I can't wait for people to see everything! My least favorite part is that I have become so busy, it's driving me crazy. I'll be glad when we are married and everything can slow down a little.

  4. Favorite was choosing the gown.  Least favorites were the seating chart and picking out the flowers.  So many choices to choose from.

  5. I liked when finding the right dress and the least favorite was chossing the location it was so hard so many great places

  6. For me it was definitely dresses. That was a blast. The other part was the first weekend my husband and I had actually started planning. He and I took a 6 hour road trip to visit family, and we took that opportunity to mutually create a vision of what we wanted for our wedding. By the time we got home, he and I had down most of the details, so the actual planning was simply finding vendors who could sell us the tangible stuff to recreate that vision. It was a really good time, talking and daydreaming with him. He was always into the details, though. I was really fortunate.

You are right. I really didn't like guest-listing. It was SO hard to cut people. It made me feel just terrible.

  7. My favorite putting special touches in, like quotes on the table making a the guest book with friends, finding the ceremony and reception location.

Worse was dealing with bridesmaid drama...from someone I didn't want in the wedding party to begin with....(ugh) Other then that the rest was fun in-till it got to the week of and then every one tried to give me there opinion on what they would of done differently.

  8. I'm going gown shopping this weekend!

    So far: Coordinating all colors.

  9. I think my favorite part was picking out the gown, even though I found it right away, and choosing the style for my hair/make-up.

My least favorite part was trying to find a place to have the rehearsal dinner. We didn't need anything fancy and I certainly didn't want his parents to break the bank...it was really hard finding a place that didn't have a food/beverage minimun or room rental fee. Took me longer to find the place to have the rehearsal dinner then it did to find where to have the ceremony and reception.

Oh - and just as an FYI - you should try weddingwire.com when working on your seating chart. They have a wonderful interactive seating chart that made it easy for me. Best of all it's free!

  10. My favourite is that my mom is dealing with most of the ridiculous stuff that people expect, like getting a caterer and providing double dessert (I had never heard of a sweet table before) and stuff like that.

My least favourite so far is that the caterer wants to meet with us about linens and stuff. I think we should pay extra and get a full service caterer, but it's already so hideously expensive (I live in Toronto, so we're at $13K so far and probably going to break $15K).

  11. I liked getting my dress, as well as checking out our location in advance (St Thomas)...I disliked everyone telling me how I HAD to do everything, especially  when no advice was requested.

  12. Best: being able to pick things out like flowers, dress, centre peices

Worst: having TWO bridesmaids from h**l!!  one didn't pick up her dress until the day before my wedding.  the other one kept hitting my hubbby and even tried to open our gifts at the gift opening (i just have to laugh about it now!0

  13. My favorites so far was going to look at reception halls, choosing the music for the ceremony, and trying on dresses.

Also the honeymoon (which isn't really the wedding)  I'm SO excited for that!! :)  It makes it all worth it. haha

I'm with you on hating the guest list.  My fiance and I still get in fights about it, and the invitations go out tomorrow!!
