  1. i'm a vegetarian and i was born one so i haven't tried meat and i don't tend to anytime soon. i'm Hindu and most Hindus don't eat meat its kind of because cows are holy in India. there are some Indians who just eat chicken but i'm not one of them!

  2. i second the above guy im also hindu

  3. Simply put - despicable food production practices.

I do not have a problem with eating another animal who was humanely killed and raised in an environmentally sustainable way - my issue is with the way that most animals are treated throughout their lives and the portion of earth that was destroyed as a result.

Of course, technically, this makes me NOT a true vegetarian.  I do eat meat produced, hunted, or caught in ways I approve of.  Just not very often because meat doesn't really excite me anymore, anyway.

  4. i LOVE LOVE LOVE MEAT I WOULD DIE WITH OUT IT

  5. i did it because i hate the prcess of the way they do it.if we deserve to live why cant animals?im doing it for animal rights to.if you descide to become a vegatarian watch meet your meat on youtube.com

  6. Mad cow disease and bird flu.

  7. I did it for the cool title and the chicks dig it.

  8. i came on this page to see the answers and i was right all this nonsense about poor animals being killed for there meat, religious beliefs is different, the rest of you wake up and smell the roses.

  9. I always preferred veggies over meat. I don't think meat tastes all that great and theres too much fat and calories in it and I'm on a diet. I don't want to clog my artaries or have a heart attack

  10. don't want anybody killing animals.

  11. Animal rights, the environment, humanitarian reasons, my health. In that order.

  12. i just see meat as an option,

    not a necessity..

so i choose not to eat it

    the animals

    =\

    yes.

    poor animals!

  13. Meat is just gross. Who wants to eat a DEAD ROTTING ANIMAL?? *vomits*

  14. I was vegetarian for two months before I changed to vegan. And I did it purely for animal rights. It breaks my heart to know that animals are tortured, slaughtered, abused, mistreated and exploited everyday - it's a personal choice - and I chose not to take part of it. It made me feel better knowing that no animal was harmed for my food and clothing and products that I use. I've always been an animal lover and I guess I couldn't handle the guilt anymore.

  15. Animal rights... i don't think any animal should be treated that way... we as humans are sickened when other humans are slaughtered by murder and such why are animals any dif??? We after all are animals... no better then the cows or the ant's... just because we, by nature, have the ability to process right from wrong doesn't mean that animals should have to suffer everyday just for our pure pleasure... Just because we can't effectively communicate and they can't fight back well doesn't mean that they don't feel sad, pain, fear, loneliness, etc... one person once said that animals are just resources... well these "resources" are someones baby's, moms, dads, cousin, sister, brother, etc... how would they feel if their parents, siblings, or relatives were treated as these animals are??? not too good i suppose...

Other then animal rights (which i feel strongly about and could go on and on but i decided not to as to not sound all grrr lol...) i do it because after looking at meat i see it's just flesh which doesn't sound too appetizing and i don't crave it and i see the poor animals behind the meat...

But i also do it for my health... I can fight off diseases and obesity and such...

  16. as a kid i didnt even really like eating my mom would make me b/c i was growing but i always felt guilty i dont know how many times i threw it up after feeling bad and it doenst  even taste great. I also like having the disiplin to not stick everything i see in my mouth and say no i dont need somone to die so i can eat i could eat something else just as easily!!!!!
