  1. way too big = 250 cards deck

way too little = 40 cards deck

just nice = 60~62 cards deck

nope this short and sweet answer does answer your question :)

  2. The tournament min. size is 60 cards. When I played I hovered right around this number. I know a few folks who go as high as 75 cards. Having more cards means more options, but it also means a less likely chance of drawing what you want. I would not advize more than 80. The reason is that the more cards you put in your deck (no matter how focused your strategy is), the more random your draw. You can only have up to 4 copies of any given card in the deck.  Your deck will be harder to use properly and your strategy will can become a tangled mess of random cards you can't use.

  3. It depends on what you are playing.  If you are playing a normal deck, anything over 65 cards is way too big.  But there is a format out there that has a minimum of 250 cards.  In that format, 275 cards would be way too many.

Though in a normal game, I saw a guy play a pretty effective 100 card deck.  The main thing with big decks is search and card draw.  You just have to know how your deck will work.

  4. I would honestly stick to the standard of 60 cards and 20 of those being land, depending on the cost of your spells maybe more or less land.  My slivers have about 29 lands, 31 creature spells and a side board of 5 other slivers in case I didn't forsee something.  60 cards would be the limit if I were to choose but keep a side board at all times to balance an equation and from becoming predictable.

  5. Again it depends on the format. Draft keep it to 40-43, constructed 60-63, though most pros never go above 61. We play alot of casual at the house and I constantly run 75-80 some are at 101 cards. The key to big decks, is draw cards, and deck thinners, searchers. You usually have to maintain a low threat til you can stabalize your board.
