Just looking for some info to help us pack. Will it be generally warm but windy, or cool, or hot? I know weather can change frequently, but thought someone might have some experience to help us prepare for the trip. Thanks.

  1. I will know the exact answer to this next October when we return from the same cruise.  But for now I expect that the weather will be like a cruise in the lower Caribbean (same latitudes).  When we went to Panama and Costa Rica in November a few years ago the weather was very pleasant all day.  Same when we went as far south as Acapulco on another cruise.  It should be warm and balmy during the days at sea and breezy at night.  When you get to Hawaii it will be hot, like 80's every day and with some scattered showers (been there 5 times by plane).  I suggest taking shorts and swim wear for the days on ship.  You did not mention which ship or line but most do have wind breaker plexiglas partitions around the pool and hot tub areas, or on some ships a solarium so that the pools and hot tubs are covered from the elements.  Then take something like a warmup suit for times when it may be cool, or you want to sit on the balcony at night.

  2. Since you will be in the tropics for the most part, you can dress light. But on deck the wind will chill you no matter what the temperature is so take a light jacket or pack a sweater. For the most part, you are going to be inside anyway.

    Have fun.
