We are planning vacation in Rio in mid November, for Thanksgiving, and I just want to know is this period good for laying on the beach, swimming and things like that! Is it warm enough? I know it's a Brazilian spring, and I know it's better to go there in spring then in summer, because summer is very hot...

  1. It is hot!!!! We are almost on summer. You really can go beach. I've lived here we must work and study in November and it is soooo hot we wish run until beach!

  2. if you go to Brazil pay a visit to the Northeast beaches. It's always summer and it's called "The Emerald Coast"

Cities like Fortaleza, Recife, Natal are very beautiful, much cheaper than Rio de Janeiro and the people are very friendly.

  3. Its the beginning of the South American summer season. It should be an even 26C during the day and night. Quite good for swimming and beach activities. Dec, Jan and Feb are the hottest months.

  4. 68 to 78 degrees, perfect.

    See the link for details.

  5. Average temp for November in Rio is 84,2 F.

    So quite hot for beach.

You should consider Buzios, if you want a relaxing place and yet with the best Brazil has to offer.

    Nice places to stay are:

    www.casasbrancas.com

    or

    www.abracadabrapousada.com.br

It´s only 2 hours from Rio and both those hotels can provide transportation.

It´s a lovely peninsula with 20 beaches or so, very nice restaurants and great night life.

You can always take tours to Rio or spend 2 days or so to see the sights.
