  1. NO there just out changing their tires.LOL

  2. Well, it was packed at the start of the race.  I think people are just leaving.

  3. and the said thing is that this race sold out and it is the first sold out race this season and this is what this race has come to

  4. Lol...its the economy (gas prices)

  5. They didn't want to get thrashed by flying rubber

  6. there were many empty seats at Dayton in July as well. They are wussifying the sport and it shows in the lack of interest this year.

  7. I'm with you I'd be demanding my $$ back with interest, this race SUX...they paid for a race not a tire test....FIRESTONE, Please next yr, you know the track...This is awful.. I've been to 15 Indy 500's and I have never seen this c**p before in my life. I bet Helton is gonna need more than Priolec OTC after this race...BUT it is cool seeing Sadler leading.,.go get'um Elliot... Edit:: Nascar ever sells out here.. I went to one Indy 500 they had over 300 people there, talk about toooooooooo crowded it was.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  8. I know what you mean. I live near Daytona and 4 weeks before the race they called and tried to get us to buy the seats we have reserved in Feb. . They are real good seats. Padded seats and lots of leg room. Way up high with elevator access. They weren't sold!

  9. Indy NEVER sells out (for NASCAR anyway- I don't follow the IRL).  Indy holds over 257,000 fans.  That is almost 100,000 MORE than DAYTONA (Daytona holds 165,000 and is NASCAR's 2nd largest track in terms of capacity- only behind Indy).  Trust me, the crowd is strong!

  10. I read an article in the South Bend Tribune about how the gas prices are causing fans to not travel to the tracks, and talking to some fans, I know that's why they haven't gone to a race this year. Gas prices are exactly why I'm not currently in Indy.

  11. i havent seen any empty seats yet. oh wait i havent paid much attention to it yet either. YAWN one of the biggest races of the year destroyed. what a shame

  12. well why would u go to watch 400 laps of boring NASCAR
