What is with celebrities and weird baby names?

I just saw a list of celebrity baby names and couldn't believe what I saw =S It's crazy!! Moxie Crime fighter? Pilot Inspektor? What the h**l?! I don't get HOW they can do that to their kids. WHAT was going through their minds when they named these poor babies? And HOW in the world can they actually appeal to them at all? I mean, Suri is cute and so is Shiloh...but names like Fifi Trixibell and Blue moon or whatever don't seem very appealing to me.... they're not even real names. What do you think??

Because they extend their pathological need for attention onto their poor children. The bizarre names are just another way of them saying, "Look at me and my extensi-- I mean... child - see how cool and unique I-- I mean... we... are."

Although I love some of the names celebrities chose like Hazel, Coco or Violet.

I guess they think their kids are unique so why cant their names be, but then again everyones unique :P

drugs & alcohol can do that to a person's mind.  I hope you learn a lesson from that!

maybe the star parent wants the child to be ONE of a kind!

Fifi is a real name, French I think, but in the last 100 y or more it has turned into a rich person's dog name.  Trixi is generally a dog name, as well.  Perhaps there was a blue moon at the time that child was born; it also has an Indian sound to me, if it's a star from California (or anywhere in the U.S.A.) there may be Indian in the bloodline strongly of either parent.

I don't understand how a reasonable person can name their kid something such as Pilot Inspektor or Moxie Crime Fighter.

I think the parents need to get checked out after naming their child that. It's just not a name.
