WELCOME....Looks like you are new to this too..I just keep coming back and learning things new everyday by asking others...

    

         This site is sort of like a contest and it gives points for just coming here ,2 points  for answering questions, and 10 for best answers voted by asker..I think 5 for if no one knows ya vote ... but they also take them away ...take 5 away from your total just for asking a question ( I still don't get that ,,but that is the way they do it)

  The best thing to do is ask like you are,,and than check the place out ...I keep looking and learning ..People seem willing to inform you..



   I still have to get the star stuff straightened out.. I just ask.. I will help you if I can...but I still am confused but will try.  HAVE FUN, LEARN LOTS!

The levels are determined by the number of points you have. The levels determine what you can do on yahoo answers.  Click on your level, points and or pictures and everything will be explain in great detail

You get points for logging in and awnsering questions. When you ask a question you use a certain about of points.

The more points you have the higher level you can go to.

Levels are useful as it gives you extra abilitys. Like level 2 which is about 250 points lets you use the thumbs up or down feature.
