  1. I read that article yesterday.  This smells fishy.  I would bet there's more to this story than we've seen here.  The local news is sensationalizing what is probably a routine dismissal.

  2. See people, you thought the Salem Witch Trials were over!  Nope they are alive and well all over the south in general.  You would think that educated people would look at it for just what it was...a harmless magic trick meant to entertain kids.

I can certainly speak to the backward thinking of the south in general as I investigate claims of the paranormal here.  I cannot tell you how many times me and my group have been labled satanic, eventhough we are nothing of the sort.   There is also lots of incidences where members of a community decided someones teaching was "of the devil" that came to no good end.  They date from the 1800s to the present.

Where is the logic  Magic trick= wizardry so this man cannot be exposed to kids, but there are plenty of people out there who do take advantage of children(sexual and otherwise).  I'll bet that there are fewer wizards in the classrooms than there are child molesters.

  3. I was really surprised about the news. It is very unlikely to happen, a serious accusation directed at someone who only did a simple trick. I really believe that there must have been other serious reasons for the guy's suspension and not mainly because of a display of trick. If the news had read that he "got fired for witchcraft", it could have been more acceptable. America had a dark history of executions based on witchcraft. But wizardry? It is really surprising. The term "wizard" alone does not exclusively mean someone devoted to the black art; a magician; a conjurer; a sorcerer; or an enchanter. It could also mean "a wise man" or a "sage". Take for example the name I used here in Y!A, the title "wizard trainee" has really nothing to do with the training on occultism, but the process of becoming wise or an expert.

  4. magic trick is not the same as being wizzard wizzardtry is study of alchemy potions they are scientist and most look for cures but they consort demons sometimes the best example is merlin he shouldnt of been fired for a trick

  5. A knowlege of magic, an ability to use magic.

  6. It did also say he wasn't following the lesson plan....

I bet there is more to it than the toothpick trick.

  7. Ya that was pretty lame.  I have know idea what that was all about.  The next match will be used to burn him at the stake most likely.  Aren't these the same people that saw there is no such thing as magic and paranormal?  I can't wait for the court case.  LOL

  8. A good example of wizardry and wizards is Harry Potter... Thats what the movies are based on wizardry....

  9. Poor guy!  Wizardry!  lmao!!  Watch me pull a rabbit out of a hat...  Pick a card, any card!... Now THAT'S wizardry!  lol ♥
