  1. As I see it: Women realizing that they have the ultimate power over their own lives, and not NEED to be dependant on anyone else (traditionally, men) to run their lives for them.

  2. Several things... Basically uplifting a woman (or group of women).

Guiding and supporting, their beliefs, goals, and personal aspects that reflects on their day to day lives as a woman.

  3. That means that women can achieve everything what a man can do in our society, unreserved any arguments of "gender related specific qualification". Equal pay will be a matter of course, and it means that if a woman is better qualified for a job than a male competitor, she will get the job.  It will also mean that, following the educational gap in favor of women, more women than ever before (possibly a majority?) will outearn their men, being the main breadwinner, leading their families, and being supported by their male partners. And women will confidently and successfully take their chance to apply for half of the leading positions in politics, economy and the society in general, including the office of the Presidency. Females in charge will not be an exception any more.

And our daughters will learn from their mothers´experience.

By the way, wives taking their husband´s last name in the marriage will not be a mainstream tradition any more, but only one of several different possible solutions. Men taking their wife´s name will likewise be a matter of course. And men or women will likewise have a choice to stay at home, taking over the household duties and raising the children.

Real woman empowerment will be secured when men stop whining about alleged advantages of women in our society.

  4. Depends on what you consider to be power.

The power to choose for yourself, or the power to choose for/over others.

    In places the boundy blurs.

    Tis a curious thing power.

  5. Ummm...the empowerment of women??

  6. Women empowerment would mean that women are empowered to think, dream and do whatever they aspire for and not dictated by society and the usual stere-types

  7. I wish people would stop using this term because it connotes that women are weak and that they need someone else's help to bestow power. Sort of like giving them a boost over the wall or something but with meetings and forums and products, etc. Just do it, for god's sake! Then act like you've been there before.

  8. I see women empowerment as feminism. It means that women have the same rights and opportunities as men for work, education, training, promotion and advancement at work, etc.

  9. It's feeling that hopeless though things might sometimes seem, you can change them. It's feeling like there's something you can do and like you matter in the world.

  10. giving power to women to take control of a situation, area, etc.
