  1. Whats a cervix

  2. its worse to be dilating at 27 weeks. what has your doctor said about treatment options? obviously they would try to stop labor at this point, so as long as your doctor is aware i'm sure they must be doing all they can to prevent labor. i hope everything turns out well for you and your baby, i can't imagine having to deal with that. luckily your getting far enough along here that there is a good chance your baby will be okay, even if its born soon.

i'll definitely keep you in my meditations.

  3. 28 weeks later.

  4. dilated is worse then thinning.  they might have to sow it closed.  or you could be put on bed rest.

  5. I would say that dilating that soon would be worse because its actually opening and thinning is just thinning neither one is good that early on, but dilating would definitely be worse.

  6. A dialating cervix means that your cervix is open a certain amount and thinning just means that your mucus plug is thinning and preparing for birth.

    Hope this helps.
