What is wrong at the Indian Consulate Visa office?

These people are incompetence, rude and slothful. They have a bad attitude toward foreign tourist (they just don't care!) They hardly even speak English. How can you work in the embassy in Canada and have no idea how to speak to Canadians? It's like you've entered into a juggle full of angry people trying to get visa and two employees telling everyone to go away! What can be done about this?

I don't think you should be generalizing it. Well.it's surprising that they have a "bad attitude" towards a foreign tourist.They shouldn't be having bad attitude towards anyone.

May be it's just the environmental effect . I've seen the people in Indian consulate in Japan behave just like those Japanese(extremely polite and well mannered).

It's bad that they don't know how to talk to people; you must talk to the consulate general regarding this(probably you need to give a written complaint).

Same thing that is wrong in many visa offices.  you give people with tiny minds and little education  a tiny bit of "power" over other peoples' lives and they become tyrants and don't care who they hurt.  I suppose you could ask for an appointment with the chief consul...but usually, the boss sets the tone for the office...so not likely it will do you any good.  Maybe you could try one of the visa services that does the paperwork and deals with the consulate for you.

charlie said.  charlie is right. its a nightmare. from uk.. i now use an indian agency here in uk. for a small fee and no hassle i get my visa. no queuing, no travel, all done on line, and done in a week or two, but i been where your at, it's dreadful

i am not agree with your conversation bcz you know five fingers are not equal bcz i have already physically go to the office but i never face situation like you

They are incompetent. Thats just how it is, nothing can be done about it. .
