almost 2 yrs ago in the summer i got a huge tent and tried it out with my 2 brothers in our backyard one night.

while staying in the tent i kept on hearing noises outside the tent like someone was walking, it probably was just a squirrel

but then in the middle of the night i woke up and just after 1 minute of being awake i then felt like i couldnt move and then felt like i was stone and i gasped and tried to make a sound or move but i couldnt, but as i couldnt move my body positioned itself flat and my head looking behind me, so my head was kinda upside down. When i saw something (idk if it was a vision of some kind or something) but i saw the shadow of someone holding something in their hands and then a loud sound of a gun. And almost immediately after i heard the sound i felt really paralyzed and felt wierd and then as i heard the gunshot i saw in my eyes a very bright light and all went dark. after that almost 2 seconds later i came back normal but idk wat happened that night.

  1. Here's another link I found that might help explain it to you.

    http://en.allexperts.com/q/Paranormal-Ph...

  2. Look into what is called ASTRAL TRAVELING.  You will find out all your answers there.

Essentially, when you sleep, your consciousness leaves your body in a state called the astral body.  you might also want to think of this as your soul.  It is tied to a chord called the silver chord, so no worry...you are not gonna die!  Anyway, when your astral body comes back to your physical body, quite often, it sort of hovers over your body and then slowly decends back into the physical body.  Sounds scary, huh?

Well, anyway, quite often, while the astral body is out of the physical body, the physical body is IMMOBILIZED.  So when you suddenly became aware of your body, you found you could not move it...not from the context of where you thought your consciousness was...thus, you were immobile.

The loud sound you heard was when your astral body merged back into your physical body.  The sound of the gun was in fact, your higher vibrational level being lowered to the body vibrational level.  Since you were shocked, you sort of JUMPED back into the body, and this created the loud pop or bang you heard.

You blacked out because your astral body plunged back so rapidly into your body!  Normally, it is a slower assimilation process without the loud bang and you never consciously remember merging back.

Finally, after you were completely merged with your astal body again, you were able to wake up and move your body.

It's all quite simple.  Just look up astral traveling.  We all do it, especially at night.  You see, we are body, mind and SOUL...and the soul is not bound at all to the body.

  3. The frozen feeling, where you felt paralyzed but couldn't yell out or scream is often catalogued as The Old Hag or Night Terrors, you can research more about it under that name... or Night Paralysis. That should give you some insight into what you felt.

As for what you saw it over all sounds like a very real dream, however very real dreams can be indications of all sorts of things.

I recommend keeping a dream journal and noting how real each of your dreams feel to you. (Even if you are not sure they are dreams.)

You can then scan the papers or search the Internet to compare notes with what you saw. If things start matching up, you may be on to something.

  4. About Sleep Paralysis...

Sleep Paralysis is a common sleep disorder, yet often one of the most frightening. Sleep paralysis occurs when we wake up mentally—only to discover that our bodies still are “asleep”—and we can’t move!

To make matters even more confusing, our awakening from REM sleep typically is only partial. This means we tend to have long and confusing dreams about being paralyzed, and, because we feel vulnerable, we often dream of being attacked.

But we can’t move, nor can we cry out for help!

Sound familiar? Then read on. You’ll soon learn that you aren’t alone.

This should sum it up..... I hope

  5. possably a vision...or a nightmare triggered because for some reason you count breathevery well that night ...think do you have asthma?or were you sleeping too deeply that night?sientists have determined that when we sleep too deeply, our heart slows down and so does our breathing. our subconcious mind gets scared and this triggers a nightmare.thse can seem very real...dont rule out visions...though...but keep in mind you can experience visions of things happening to other people in first - person point of view{ through that other persons eyes} i have had 2 such experiences.keep your eyes and heart open. pay attention to everything, but dont panic.you may either save someone's life or it could be a night mare...i'd pray about it.but i'm sorry i dont know what your belief system is.i've seen too much evedence to support the existance of God. but i am far from traditinal.

  6. well you could have seen and heard something that either was a real gun or it sounded like a gun, your question reminds me of the Blair Witch Project, well you could go to entityseeker.com.

  7. i rebuke that dream in the name of christ! dont trust the sorrounding, never sleep in a tent where you dont know really what is the real situation of that place!kapawaris di banta=let the threat completely disappear from their mind!

  8. I agree you were in your astral body when this experience happened. ....Evidence of this is "my head looking behind me". You were awaked in the astral realm.  Also agree that the sound is likely the sound of returning to the body. I had that experience once and it sounded like a train in my head, very loud.

If you don't like  it or feel afraid of this, and just in case it happens again, you can pray... it will help. I don't know how it works but it helped me to return to my body and awake well.

    Good luck!!!

  9. While I do not dismiss this being astral travel or an out of body experience the experience you describe fits the definition of and criteria for sleep paralysis almost perfectly.

I have links below for you including a link to a book that is an extensive study on these kinds of images/experiences.

    The more you know...

  10. It's called astral catalepsy, the popping noise was you going back into your body. go look it up. good luck.

  11. Omg I know the feeling!!!  I keep hearing about Sleep Paralysis too, but from what I experienced, no one can convince me that's the only answer.  This happened to me like 8 years ago.  I'll try to make this short.  I was sleep, but it was like my spirit came out of my body and saw this demonic thing that tried to take on my form (even down to what I wore to bed) sitting on my bed watching me sleep.  I started calling for Jesus and the thing had this high pitched laugh and said "Jesus can't save you now."  I screamed back "oh yes he will," then I saw this divine version of me appear and spin around slowly with her hands up and all this golden light around it.  Then the two disappeared and wound up jumping in my body.  My body was faced down and it felt like the divine spirit was on the underside (front) of me and the demonic spirit was on top (the back of me) and the two were fighting.  The demonic version was trying to keep me down and wouldn't let me wake me up, while the divine spirit was pushing up trying to wake me up. My body was being jerked up and down. The divine spirit won because I got this really hard push and my body jerked up and that's what finally got me up.  I was still in the faced down position, my lower back was hurting, my face felt raw from being forced down in the pillow, and the room felt really eerie.  I turned on the light and the radio to make some noise and it was on a religious station that I didn't turn to and didn't even know existed.  When I went to bed it was on 107.5 after that experience my radio was set to 94.7 no remote and the radio was across the room aaaand my bedroom door was locked.  I left it on the religion station and prayed.  That was not sleep paralysis..

  12. Wow am I glad to know ppl have experienced this..yes yes yes..being in a state of paralysis during sleep..wanting to shout out to ur mother/sister etc etc but cant...feel as if glued to the bed with the whole body..part consciousness of ur sorroundings just the way they are..not exactly dreamlike...yeah I have felt 'spirits' trying to fool around with my body in this state..as in if I am in the paralysed state they lift up my hands etc..that I have no control over..but i passed it all off as nightmares and dint even pay attention

Infact a few days back I remember half waking up to see my sister's mattress having a pink floral print on it..but when I completely woke up it was full white again..

so many 'half dreams' and all of them v. scary..half dreams since I was aware of my sorroundings just the way they are..but aware of some other scary spirits around me...I wake up 100% scared and glad to be able to move my hands again

last I dreamt was an evil being/spirit trying to squeeze my left arm v. badly..while I tried to get rid..and soon the spirit even entered my body..I felt it entering from my neck into my back..I woke up 100% scared and yes my left arm pained no ends..cd nt get sleep fr 2 hrs after that was so d**n scared
