During Schumacer days, I hardly saw Schumacher retiring from the race with reliability issues, it was so rare.

But now it is so frequent, what is wrong with them ? why so much change ?

  1. .

It's time, new regulations regarding engines and the lack of galvanization of different facets of Ferrari (Schhhhh's forte) that is causing the problems, I feel.

    .

  2. They've lost key people that made the Schumacher era so sucessful, namely Todt, brawn and th man himself.

This was bound to have a destablizing effect on the team.

The is definetely a lack of co-hesion by Ferrari standards.

  3. Lazy Italians taking over the top management spots in the team is what's wrong with Ferrari.

  4. schumacher, brawn and todt...made Ferrari right... their absence is whats wrong...

  5. It's hard to say but there is an undercurrent of speculation that the Scuderia might not be adhering to the rules freezing engine development as they should. Whatever, I hope it keeps happening so we can keep hearing Hobbs say "Kerblammo!" <G>

  6. well everything has to change an i hate Ferrari for that but the parts they use are cheaper

  7. It's the changes that Ferrari have gone through since Schumi's retirement and Ross Brawn's departure from the team. Lots of the old guard who have been keeping Ferrari running smoothly have either left or retired. I think they really miss Ross Brawn and Jean Todt. Plus the calming effect (or reassurance) of Schumi.

The question is is it the car or their drivers? WHile Kimi is known to be able to make full use of even a half decent car, he doesn't seem to be getting much out of his Ferrari. Poor quali and not so stellar races... plus lacking in good luck too at times. Is Kimi just demotivated? But then Massa isn't very excelent either. Both drivers aren't dominating the field as thye should be. In fact, Ferrari are really threatened by McLaren now.

Possibly they have some technical issues to sort out as well. They are not the flawless team we have seen over the years. That pitstop incident Kimi had at Valencia is evidence of it.

  8. you could put it down to key members leaving like people have said

    Ross Brawn

    Jean Todt

    Micheal Schumacher

however there is more to that

Mclaren have inproved in the last 2 years

BMW has the power to beat both Mclaren and Ferrari

Which in 2000 - 2004 no one could

    2005 - 2006 you had a Renault beating a Ferrari

2007 - 2008 equal terms between Mclaren and Ferrari

Ferrari are very reliable but my explanation for that is the

    Shark Fin Engine Cover

You may say wheres the  Evidence....

    Force India

    Toro Rosso

Also have a Ferrari Engine which again you see engine failures no-one took any notice of this because they was back-markers (Which Toro Rosso isn't now)

    and if you link them

Force India, Toro Rosso and Ferrari - All Have Ferrari engines and also have the Shark Fin Engine Cover i got this conclusion from the following.... before Ferrari had the Shark fin on they had no reliability problems now they're using a Shark fin reliability is kicking in

    See the pattern?
