What is wrong with Floyd Mayweather jr Retiring now if he wants to?

why do so many people dislike the fact that he wants to retire? is it that they don't want to see another undefeated boxer in history?

is it that they love to see someone with his skill keep boxing? or is it simply anything that he do people will hate on him

many experst and boxing fans wanted to see floyd step up to cotto and floyd didnt want no part of him. its hes choice to retire but he will  alwyas be known as the guy who ducked real threats

I think he was smart to retire now rich & unscathed.

i think people just wanted to see him loose which is why they are bitter

some people want to see him lose, some people (people like me) were hoping to see him fight cotto, and some just hate him because he is not a knock out artist and a brawler....in the end i respect his decision i wish him the best in all his endeavours.

Because he is not a peoples champ. he lacked true charisma that makes a champ a champ. He was not a very offensive exciting fighter even though he had great skill. When he retired he just sent a letter in and didn't have the guts to even address his fans in person like a true champ should. He has the right to quit when he wants to but not the way he did it. dodge cotto was only one of the reasons, but then saying that it was only for the money made him appear like a w***e instead of a true champ
