Question:

What is wrong with Newcastle? Keegan is the first decent manager they have had in YEARS?

He got the team delivering good results and playing well - something his predecessors couldn't do. What possible reason could they have for firing him?

If he has been fired then I personally think they deserve to go downhill.

  1. Newcastle deserve to go downhill because of our sh*t ownership and board.

Millions of Newcastle fans deserve heartache because our chairman is a pr*ck of the highest order?

Keegan has left for one of 2 reasons.

    1. Fat Ashley sacked him because he didn't like King Kev answering back.

    2. King Kev wasn't making the signings and walked (rightly so)

We may have signed Gutierrez, Collocini, Xisco, Gonzalez, Guthrie and Bassong. But we have lost Emre, Milner, Faye and many others. If we get an injury we will be playing kids, we have a very small squad and when you have players like Owen and Viduka who are injury prone then it doesn't help.

Other clubs won't understand it, Kevin Keegan is our messiah, a man that we are proud of. One that gives us football we want to pay our money to see.

We don't expect champions league football, we want attractive football.

I don't understand how supporters of Bolton and Wigan want to watch that drivel and pay £40 for the privelage.

Manchester City have spent £33m on one player. We have made a profit this summer! We were promised a enthausiastic chairman, one that would match Keegan's enthausiasm. He has delivered nothing, we have spent no money and have got nowhere since he tookover.

  2. I don't think it has to do with the positive results the club has gained slowly under Keegan.....

I am sure the issue lies with Keegan bumping heads with Management....If one does not have a good relationship with your bosses, you can't expect them to feel your an asset to the club.

I think Keegan has done a fairly good job @ Newcastle, after a shaky start, he ended the season on a good note and have not had such a bad start to this season...(Arsenal @ home is always a tough fixture). From what I heard, most Newcastle Supporters are behind Keegan

  3. If it IS about transfers as is being written, I can't understand it. Coloccini, Gutierrez and Xisco are great signigs...what's he moaning about? Newcastle have had a great transfer window!

It's been confirmed, everybody involved at Newcastle are idiots.

  4. dont no

  5. He's walked mate. Look at his previous.

However either way Newcastle United have become a joke under Mike Ashley's tenure.

The punchline being that Dennis Wise is 5/2 favourite with William Hill to be the mags' next permanent manager -- which shows how confident the betting market is that the club will make an absolute balls-up of replacing Keegan (although it isn't necessarily Ashley's fault -- he may not be able to afford anyone decent).

I'd say take any price you can get on them being relegated.
