There was a story in the news on sunday 23 rd. of march 2008 that the new floresant light bulbs had a problem and I was wondering what it was.

  1. Perhaps it's due to the report that they contain mercury.  I understand it's a very small amount and that our "old fashioned" bulbs also contain mercury.  They are not as bright as the ones we are used to, but do use much less electricity.
