  6. hate is hate -- it's wrong in the name of anyone or anything

  7. i don't know, some genious say that Jesus hates sin

  8. If you hate sin, yes.  If you hate people, no!  Jesus said that in God's eyes, it is the same as murder.

  9. I thought Jesus loved everything and everyone. I don't think he wold appreciate your question

  19. Jesus said Hatred is murder in your heart.

    That breaks the 6th commandment.

  20. Well hate and Jesus are in my opinion opposites.  As I have read and understand the life and teachings of Christ, His goal was love.  People who use His name to carry out their own hate are in my opinion using Him to further their own purposes of likes and dislikes.  There is not one "sinner" that Jesus hated.  Not one.  I don't see how people feel they can reject someone in the name of Christ.  It makes no sense whatsoever except to carry out their own purpose.  I would not want to be them.  Jesus was about love and that is why I can love the unlovable.  It doesn't matter to me what you have done i will love you anyway because Jesus loved those who persecuted Him and He loved me enough to find me at the point I was at.  I was full of hate and He replaced that hate with love.

The truth is everything in the book is wrong with hate.  I think you know that already.

  21. you can't hate in the name of someone that specifically told you not to hate, He said "love" your enemy's "forgive" them, "love" anyone else as you love yourself.

So there's no way to hate in his name.

  22. Good grief.

  23. Hmmm... Nothing! Die evil-doers! (Satire)

  24. Jesus hates hate.

  25. Men are never so ready, eager and willing to do evil as when they do it in the name of religion

  26. The 2 Greatest Commandments :

To love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind and strength.

To love thy neighbor as thyself.

Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Romans

    Chapter 12

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good. 10 Loving one another with the charity of brotherhood, with honour preventing one another.

11 In carefulness not slothful. In spirit fervent. Serving the Lord. 12 Rejoicing in hope. Patient in tribulation. Instant in prayer. 13 Communicating to the necessities of the saints. Pursuing hospitality. 14 Bless them that persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15 Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.

16 Being of one mind one towards another. Not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as is in you, have peace with all men. 19 Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 But if thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.

21 Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil by good.

    =============

All God's prophets have brought the message of love. None has ever thought that war and hate are good.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 35)

If religion proves to be the source of hatred, enmity and contention, if it becomes the cause of warfare and strife and influences men to kill each other, its absence is preferable. For that which is productive of hatred amongst the people is rejected by God, and that which establishes fellowship is beloved and sanctioned by Him. Religion and divine teachings are like unto a remedy. A remedy must produce the condition of health. If it occasions sickness, it is wiser and better to have no remedy whatever. This is the significance of the statement that if religion becomes the cause of warfare and bloodshed, irreligion and the absence of religion are preferable among mankind.

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 298)

Every eye, in this Day, should seek what will best promote the Cause of God. He, Who is the Eternal Truth, beareth Me witness! Nothing whatsoever can, in this Day, inflict a greater harm upon this Cause than dissension and strife, contention, estrangement and apathy, among the loved ones of God. Flee them, through the power of God and His sovereign aid, and strive ye to knit together the hearts of men, in His Name, the Unifier, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.

    (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 8)

Religious hatred and rancor is a world-consuming fire....

    (Abdu'l-Baha, A Traveller's Narrative, p. 42)

And now let us consider the various peoples of the world. All the nations -- American, British, French, German, Turkish, Persian, Arab -- are children of the same Adam, members of the same human household. Why should dissension exist among them? The surface of the earth is one native land, and that native land was provided for all. God has not set these boundaries and race limitations. Why should imaginary barriers which God has not originally destined be made a cause of contention? God has created and provided for all. He is the Preserver of all, and all are submerged in the ocean of His mercy. Not a single soul is deprived. Inasmuch as we have such a loving God and Creator, why should we be at war with each other? Now that His light is shining universally, why should we cast ourselves into darkness? As His table is spread for all His children, why should we deprive each other of its sustenance? As His effulgence is shining upon all, why should we seek to live among the shadows? There is no doubt that the only cause is ignorance and that the result is perdition. Discord deprives humanity of the eternal favors of God; therefore, we must forget all imaginary causes of difference and seek the very fundamentals of the divine religions in order that we may associate in perfect love and accord and consider humankind as one family, the surface of the earth as one nationality and all races as one humanity. Let us live under the protection of God, attaining eternal happiness in this world and everlasting life in the world to come.

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 99)

The Jews await the Messiah, the Christians the return of Christ, the Moslems the Mahdi, the Buddhists the fifth Buddha, the Zoroastrians Shah Bahram, the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna, and the Atheists - a better social organization! Baha'u'llah represents all these, and thus destroys the rivalries and the enmities of the different religions; reconciles them in their primitive purity, and frees them from the corruption of dogmas and rites.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. vii)
