For the past 3 maybe 4 weeks I've been having ear problems, and they just get worse as the days go by. These are my symptoms.

Ear pain/pressure (constantly)

Strange twinges, that are rather painful

Complete deafness if my head is facing down with my neck bent

Amplified hearing (like I have hearing aids turned all the way up)

When I chew or yawn my jaw crackles

Sounds like scraping, or rattling (like shaking out a trash bag) make your whole head ache, and make something in your ear move

Being able to hear your pulse in your ears constantly

Constant ringing

Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone even heard of this?

Am I just going insane??

  1. Out of all those symptoms, I have the Jaw thingy, and sometimes I hear ringing. Oh yea, I also have a headache if I stand up really fast, making me dizzy oO. I'm going to get checked up and reply what the doctor says. But the amplified hearing sounds serious, as well as the complete deafness. You should really get checked up on that.

  2. No, you're not going insane, but those symptoms would surely make me go batty!

You need to see your otolaryngologist. The problem could be

    1. Severe ear infection (I've had them and they are h**l on earth)

    2. Herniated disc in your neck pushing on a nerve.

You should not wait to see a doctor. Go now!

  3. Well i've had an ear infection and the symptoms you describe are sort of similar id definitely get a doctor to check it out turns out i had blood in my ears....theyre really sensitive....see a doctor!

  5. You may have a ruptured ear drum, it happened to me with all of those symptoms.

What happens is first you have an ear infection, but it gets so bad, your ear drum ruptures....the doc will give you some meds to help

  6. First of all, do you have any hearing problems, wear a hearing aid or have had surgery recently? If the answer is yes to any of these, you should go to see your doctor immediately.

If you've listened to very loud music, for example, been at a gig or a party, or listened to your mp3 player too loud, it can cause a ringing in your ears.

I suffer from eczema in one of my ears, which causes it to produce too much wax to try to protect itself. This causes wax to sit on my ear drum, which mean I can hear my own pulse, it crackles when I swallow, etc. When, say for example if I was t go swimming, it cause the wax to move, which means it either gets a lot worse, or better. If it gets better, the wax moves off the ear drum, and everything sounds extra loud because my body has adjusted to wax being on the ear drum. If it gets worse, I start to hear rattleing, etc.

If you have itchy ears, or if they are irritated in any way, which can be cause by things such as jewellery and soap, wax on your ear drum may be what's wrong. This can also be caused by using those little sticks with cotton wool on to clean your ears.

If this is the case, you will need to go to the doctor and he/she will have a look, and probably get a nurse to syringe your ear. It's not as scary as it sounds. They put a little tube into your ear and pump warm water in it, to loosen the wax, which then comes out. It's a BIG relief when it comes out, no more ringing, crackleing or anything. It feels kinda nice aswell. Lol.

Hope this helps, whatever the outcome is try to see your doctor about it. If he/she can't find the problem, ask to be refered to a specialist who will find out what's wrong. Hopefully it won't come to that.

    Best of luck.

  7. You're going deaf I think.

  8. i sometimes get the ringing and the pulse thingy...but tbh, it sounds like you need a doctor, love...

  9. sounds like an inner ear infection...go see your doctor, and your not crazee and yes...when ive had an infection thats what it sounds/feels like, and if the doctor says they are not infected, then INSIST on them doing a swab of the ear...it takes a couple of days to show whether there is a bacterial infection or not,  but insist on having this done...He/she should do this test anyhow to prescribe the right antibiotic for the infection...make the appointment now!

  10. Diabetes?  Check your blood sugar.

  11. Go to a doctor.Maybe you should take off the hearing aid and see if it stops. You might be having an allergic reaction to somthing your constantly beside.Hope I helped:)

  12. well it could be caused by stress thats normally what triggers off weird noises in the head relax yourself if it gets worse dont panic if it goes on for months go speak to a doctor dont leave it too long cuz it could cauze permenet damage ..

  13. i had those symptoms when i perferated my eardrum,, get it checked by a doctor so it doesnt get worxe or infected (because it kanes if it does)

       hope this helped :)

  14. It is ear blockage and ear sensitivities , nothing is wrong . Not just that i heard it but i experienced it, so you and i have this same problem as listed above.

I know it is rather annoying, with certain times like amplified hearing.

I still remember that the 1st thing i did was to clean up my ear wax. It should be a lot of wax if not mistaken. Then avoid high pitch metal sound.

If possible , once a while try to press your nose and close your mouth and try to breath out through your ear. you will sometimes hear a pop out sound and bit pain sensation through your ear, bear with it, and you will feel relieved. Drink a lot of water. this what i did as above, and now i am already ok after it happen many years ago.

  15. i think it is an inner ear infection - not positive.

but you should call a doc - if i am right, these don't clear up without meds.
