There is an entirely new profile system being developed. Since Yahoo has added the Ymail and Rocketmail domains the IDs can be duplicated. The new system will have to allow searches by the entire email address rather than the ID.

If there is a [e-mail] and [e-mail] which one will be returned with profiles.yahoo.com/jsmith?

Barkley Hound you have got to be joking! The Member Directory doesn't work because of some major new developments in profile searching that Yahoo is developing? Yeah right! How about the much more likely an patently obvious answer - Yahoo rate the Member Directory as much as a buzzing mosquito. It's annoying, you wish it would go away and not bother you but in the scheme of things it barely rates a second thought.
