What is wrong with my Ipod?

Question

One I went out to play football on my way to meet my friends I was listening to my Ipod Nano perfectly, I left it in my coat pocket whilst playing and i guarantee that nothing happened to it whilst here but when it came to walking home I turned on my ipod and it went to a blank white screen then i turned it off and ever since then it hasn't turned back on and it wont charge in the computer, the computer doesn't even acknowledge that its connected to the ipod. Please help me, what can i do to fix it ? or where /how can i get it repaired?

5that happened to me once i kept messing with it untill it came back on im not exactly sure what i did though

first...check to see if the hold switch is on.

its at the to or bottom of your ipod. if it's on...

you will see some orange.

if it's not that...try reseting your ipod.

how to reset your ipod:

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

ipod nano? i ahve one it has probs too, just let it sit and wait till it goes black. and no battery left in it, then charge it again, thts wht i do. and it works

Tried holding menu and the middle button together yet?

This usually resets the pod

You might be able to fix it by doing a hard reset: try holding down the central and menu buttons together for a few seconds; the iPod should reboot after showing an apple screen. Variations on this form of hard reset can also put your iPod into Hard Disk mode, allowing you to recover music from it when you plug it into your computer (if displaying hidden files and folders is enabled on your computer; the music will be buried within lots of numbered folders inside some of the other hidden folders that should appear).
