We have a garden full of pickling (Kirby) cucumbers.. When I went to pick a bunch of them, I found a cucumber, fully developed-in perfect shape-but COMPLETELY golden/yellow in color?! How could this be? All the rest from that plant are perfect! Is this like getting the Golden Ticket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Hahah. But honestly.. Is it safe to it? It's hard and in spite of it's color, I would say a perfect Kirby!

  1. Cukes tend to turn yellow when they are older.

That one was on the vine for a long time. If it is only one, toss it.
