What is wrong with my Mozilla Firefox (version 3)?

I now regret downloading firefox 3, but here's my situation.

Ok, I start firefox, and it brings me to my homepage. Firstly, all the bookmarks i have that are saved under the address bar are gone, and when after i type something in the address bar, and i press enter, nothing happens, no loading, no cannot found, just nothing. the status bar stays at "done". Really, i have no idea whats going on, right now I'm using internet explorer, but i think it has something to do with mozilla 3, i just downloaded it yesterday. can someone please tell me how to fix it!

Also, under the address bar where my bookmarks usually are, it is just blank, and when i try to add something to the bookmark bar, it says "This website does not support identity information", even for sites like google. Plus, when i look under the bookmarks tab, it shows nothing.

I will be happy to downgrade back to version 2 if it means i can get my bookmarks back and a working address bar!

Thanks in advance!

  1. maybe something happebned when u upgraded. my didnt do anything. maybe something went wrong with your system while it was upgrading. and i dont think if you downgrade your book marks will be back. and about the address bar thing, i have no clue. maybe its the internet service. it happened to me once, and to find out, it was my internet that was making it wacky.

  2. didnt happen to me when i downloaded

you can either download v2 from a torrent or try uninstalling then reinstalling or get safari from apple because even thats better that internet explorer

    BUT FIREFOX IS STILL BEAST!

  3. You can use Opera. Here's why:

Download and install Opera. Opera doesn't have much problems and generally the most stable web browser. It's faster too.

You can have your Firefox bookmarks in Opera. In Opera, click Bookmarks, go to Manage Bookmarks and click Mozilla Firefox. There you will have the Firefox bookmarks hopefully.
