My jack russel has had puppies yesterday.

she seemed okay at first, but then she started to shake and avoid her puppies. She has had puppies this year already she was fine then. Is she abandoning them? Can any one tell me why she is shaking and should i take her to the vets?

  1. she is sick of being used as a money making machine and knows that you are going to sell her babies so is abandoning them. if you love your dog get her spayed

  2. I would seek vet care- I would be worried that she has developed a post delivery infection- it does happen

the sooner you seek care- the better chances all of them have to pull thru

  3. Take her to the vets ASAP!  If she is shaking then something is very wrong.

2 litters in one year is really bad.  The poor dog didn't even have time to recover from one litter then you allowed her to breed again.

    She needs vet care now!

  4. my auntie has just breed chuiahaha's im getting one on tuesday YAY .

this sometimes can normal. not all mothers want their puppies. you may have to be a mother to them for a bit. by feeding them special milk. hard work.

  5. She may have hypocalcemia...a vet needs to look at her immediately.  This is an emergency.  Feed her some cottage cheese quickly for calcium.  She may have calcium shock (hypocalcemia)  fairly common after pups are born.

    EMERGENCY, please take her quickly.

  6. hopefully you have her nice and warm, she may be in shock, check her gums to make sure they are pink ,if they are whtie she may be in shock or somethings wrong . i would take her to the vet

  7. She should have been taken to the vet for a post partum exam as a matter of responsible breeding practice. She may have retained a placenta, a ruptured uterus or still has a pup inside or is developing an infection. If you do not get her to the vet, you stand a chance of losing her and her pups.

For the record, it is not considered healthy to do back to back breedings. A dam should be allowed to physically recover for at least 12 months between litters. Repeated breeding is extremely hard on them and we have more than enough litters in the world to justify breeding a dog so soon.

  8. I'm not too sure to be honest, but maybe she had two litters too close together and now she's feeling weak ? If she only had them yesterday she may want to be away from them for a while to rest and then she will go back to them. As for taking her to the vets, give her a chance to rest before taking her, leave it for a couple of days then if she is still shaking take her, she may be low on fluids or something. Try giving her lots of water and food.

  9. Two litters within eight months? She's probably tired.I'd take her to the vet and make an appointment to have her spay. If your breeding her to make money. Sell something, Let your internet service go until you can make it without breeding her every 61 days. Poor Dog  : (

  10. Alot of things could be going wrong it's best to check with your vet. The puppies need to nurse that's very important so the sooner you find out what's up the better. You don't want your puppies to start dieing.

  11. This isn't good.

If she has had puppies too close together she will be low on calcium.

Her body is now reacting to the lack of calcium causing her to shake.

Take her to the vets AS SOON AS YOU CAN.

This happened to my Pomeranian and it was almost fatal.

I would suggest getting her spayed or seperating her from other dogs when she is on heat.

    Hope you dog is alright.
