My calculator is having problems. When I turn it on there is a line in the middle and then it turns of. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work. I have changed the batteries but it still has problems. Could the problem be the back up batteries and if it is where can I buy more?

  1. doubt it would be the batteries but they sell them @ like most electronic stores or radio shack, best buy, staples... i think it sounds like a software issue you can check for updates on the ti site.

  2. Its not the batteries' problem if the batteries work sometimes and don't other times- it might be the inside connection from your batteries to your screen.

I would suggest getting another one :( sorry

  3. brokennn :/

  4. There seems to be some kind of internal problem with it. Try and send it back to the company to get fixed or take it back to the store where you bought it to see if the will exchange it. Even if the back-up battery is dead, the thing should still work.

Here, I found the thoubleshooting guide for your calculator on the TI website. take a look, something there may help:

If that doesn't work... there's a link in blue on this page, about the 5th line under the title "How do I manually reset a graphing calculator?" that lets you contact TI about the problem:

I hope I helped!!! I know how those calculators can be, I'm a science major.

  5. its broken... srry
