What is wrong with my dad?

my dad hasn't been feeling good for several months now. sometimes he bleeds a little bit from his mouth, his voice has changed and sometimes its difficult to understand what he says. he says that he feels that his face feels tight and his teeth as well. its getting hard for him to swallow. also, his body seems to be retaining a lot of liquid and seems to be getting fatter. the way he walks has also changed. he's tired all the time and is virtually always sleeping. doctors claim he is okay but I know he's not. what's wrong with him???

I am sorry to have to tell you that your dad is not well at all and that he should see a throat specialist asap. You say his voice has changed. If by this you mean it has become HOARSE  you should specify this to the doctor. It is important.All the best

I agree with the others, if his doctor really DID say he's fine, he needs to get a second opinion immediately!  As was suggested already, he may already know something is wrong but he may not be telling you to keep you from worrying.  Tell him you want to know the truth and that hiding it isn't making you worry any less.  If he's really not hiding anything then you need to convince him to see another doctor soon because none of those symptoms are normal by any means!

Sorry to hear that.

I think it might be stress from work or something else. Ask him if something bothering him or not. just tell him that you CARE about him no matter what... for the bleeding part... hmmm, i really don't know, and I don't want to give you the wrong stuff.

I know everyone else has said it ...but if his doctor said he's ok..then he needs a new one. Its not natural to feel like that all the time. Your dad might possibly not be telling you whats wrong...so you don't worry. By telling you the doctor said he's ok...maybe he thinks he's protecting you? Just a thought. have a good long talk about it with him.

He must be seeing a witch doctor, that's what's wrong... He shouldn't be going through that.  You have to get him to a different doctor, period.
