What is wrong with my flash drive?

I have this flash drive I have put poetry on. I work on my poetry at work and at home. I saved a poem at work to my flash drive and when I tried to open it at home it says document name or path is not valid-It says to check file permissions--I have tried everything but nothing works. It doesnt do it to all the poems, just some of them. How can I access my file? Is it a lost cause?

  1. what type of document. (word, notepad, etc.

how did you put it on your flash drive?

go to the computer that it works on and open it.  go to "Tools" - "Shared Workspace", then click on the status tab.  There it should say whether you have permissions that can restrict you.  This is all I can think of trying.

  2. For permission > right click the file > properties > security > advanced > edit > add > type in everyone > read and execute.

  3. Make sure you copied the original file and not the shortcut.
