Question:

What is wrong with my index page?

My view of my index page for legends.mercave.com is mercave.com/Image1.jpg . It works if I go directly to index.php, but not if I leave it off. My host seems to think it is my browser's fault, because it is only showing up like this in my firefox, but not my internet explorer, and it's working for them. She even fixed the redirects like I asked, but they didn't fix MY problem. I can't stand going to my site and not seeing my site unless I use the full address. Anyone know what my problem is? I've viewed it in firefox safe mode as well, and it still looked wacked.

  1. You must have an index.html or a default.html page if you want browsers to see it when you put your domain name in: domain_name.com/

Having an image as a home page is not going to work.  I doubt if they set their server up to redirect from index.html to image1.jpg when someone puts in your URL.

I put in http://legends.mercave.com/ for my Firefox and went right to "The Legend of Sarah" with no problem.  What you see in Firefox may be because you have the wrong character encoding selected under the View menu.
