What is wrong with my internet explorer?

Question

It's not working... it wont let me post things on myspace, or facebook or even on here (yahoo) properly... on almost every internet page I open up, there is a pop up at the top of the screen that says "Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using ActiveX Control in a unsafe manner. As a result, this page may not display correctly"

It just happened today and I didn't download anything, all I did today on my computer was uninstall Adobe Photoshop

It sounds like system is infected with malware.  I would try scanning with AVG, if that doesnt help or if you wouldl like more info on infections follow the link below

Switch to Firefox 3 trust me its a lot better then IE: http://www.mozilla.com

Hmm, strange.  Just uninstalling an application shouldn't have had that effect.

There are probably settings that need changing etc that would correct these issues.  Without actually sitting in front of your pc & seeing it first hand, it would be difficult to say.

However, as a cure-all, you might want to try resetting Internet Explorer.

To do that, head to:  Internet Options > Advanced (Tab) > Reset (Button).

It'll reset Internet Explorer to it's default 'Factory' settings.

Uninstalling Adobe may (or may not) have changed some settings in IE. If this were my system I'd try setting the IE settings to default. Normally this is not a problem unless you've purposely made any security changes, although it may disable some plugins.

If IE works after that, feel free to IM me if you need help getting any plugins etc to work.

Tools - Internet Options - Security - Reset all zones to default level

Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Restore Advanced Settings

You have malware or spyware.  Download the free version of Superantispyware.  http://www.superantispyware.  Update and run and in depth scan.+
