Question:

What is wrong with my leg?

Last week, I hurt my back playing softball. Nothing major, just sore like a strained muscle. The pain radiated down to my leg, but was never horrible. Now, the pain has all but disappeared, but my leg wont move in certain directions. If I try to sit Indian-style, I have to physically pull my leg up to get it in the right spot. It doesnt hurt, it just wont move! Im in fairly good health, in the normal BMI range, and am pretty active (I played softball and golf with it hurting). Is this a bad sign or should it go away in a few days?

  1. it could be a pinched nerve or a herniated disk in your lower back. the best think to do at this point is to rest it, and if your still feeling things or still having trouble moving i would suggest a visit to the doctor. you need those legs!!

  2. Sounds like a pulled muscle and\or a pinched nerve.  I would put heat on the lower back (or wherever you hurt it) and take over the counter anti-inflammatory meds.

Bed rest should do the trick too.  If it doesn't resolve itself, time to go see the doc.....
